The trial of a North Attleborough woman charged with abusing two children she was babysitting is underway. Prosecutors said in court Tuesday that Crystal Goodis, 33, indecently touched a 4½-year-old girl and punched her 3-year-old brother at their Norton home three years ago. The alleged abuse was not reported to authorities until about a year later. The Sun Chronicle reported that the children, now 8 and 6, testified that Goodis tried to scare them by wearing werewolf and vampire costumes and showing them horror movies. The children said Goodis punched and kicked them and threatened to hurt them if they told their mother. Goodis pleaded not guilty to assault-and-battery charges.
