Police have suspended two officers without pay after finding text messages they allegedly sent to a 16-year-old girl. Police Chief Jon Fontneau told The Stamford Advocate that Robert Macari, 43, and William Garay, 28, engaged in conduct unbecoming officers. Macari, who has been with the department for 11 years, has been suspended for 30 days. Garay, a six-year veteran, was suspended for 10 days. Fontneau said the girl reported in May that she was sexually involved with Macari, but later declined to cooperate in an investigation.
