US Attorney's Office
The slaying of William O'Brien, 32, on Morrissey Boulevard in March 1973 came up during Friday's testimony of the "Whitey" Bulger trial.
O'Brien is one of many victims prosecutors say were killed because of the former leader of Boston's underworld.
A former professional gambler described in his testimony being in a car that was sprayed by bullets in the North End, also in March 1973.
"For two and a half minutes, about a hundred slugs hit the automobile, and it imploded," said Frank Capizzi.
