An after-school math enrichment program with roots in Europe is establishing a Connecticut school for children in kindergarten through 12th grade. The Russian School of Mathematics, headquartered in Newton, Mass., is based on the best practices of advanced math schools in Russia and Europe and adapted to schools in the United States. The math school will open its first branch in Connecticut in Rocky Hill this summer in response to demand for after-school math education from families in the Hartford area. The school is enrolling students for its six-week summer math program, which runs July 8 to Aug. 16.
