A Vermont school board is supporting the Danville school principal who is facing criminal charges that he failed to report an allegation of child abuse and neglect of public duty. The Danville board voted 4 to 0 Tuesday to support the principal, Noah Noyes. Noyes and the superintendent of Caledonia Central Supervisory Union, Martha Tucker, were both cited by police Monday. Tuesday’s vote followed a closed session attended by both Noyes and Tucker. Police said Noyes and Tucker failed to report allegations that a Danville teacher inappropriately touched a student April 29. Tucker’s lawyer said the abuse allegations were found to be baseless. Noah has not responded publicly to the allegations.
