A Braintree man shot and wounded by Boston police Tuesday after allegedly opening fire on two officers in South Boston is being held on $2 million cash bail, authorities said.

Paul Eric Louis-Jeune, 21, was arraigned Thursday in his hospital bed in the surgical intensive care unit at Boston Medical Center and pleaded not guilty to three counts of armed assault with intent to murder and seven other gun charges, including assault with a dangerous weapon and carrying a loaded firearm without a license, the Suffolk district attorney’s office said.
