7-year-old boy rescued at Walden Pond

A 7-year-old boy was saved from drowning in Walden Pond Monday, officials said. State Department of Conservation and Recreation lifeguards at Walden pulled the boy from the water shortly after 3 p.m., said DCR spokesman Bill Hickey. The lifeguards performed CPR on the boy, who then regained consciousness and was taken to a local hospital, Hickey said. No further information was immediately available.
