Five agencies join to thwart robbery plot in Malden

A coordinated law enforcement effort culminated Friday afternoon in Malden with the arrest of six suspects on multiple charges relating to a planned robbery, the Malden police chief said. Chief Kevin Molis said that 20 to 30 law enforcement officers from five agencies descended on the suspects at a site on Commercial Street. Molis said the suspects are believed to have been preparing to rob an unknown location. Molis said officers from the Malden, Everett, and Revere police, the Middlesex sheriff’s department, and the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives participated in the raid.
