Maine Lobster Festival wrapping up

The Maine Lobster Festival, which encourages people to eat more of the tasty crustacean, wraps up Sunday in Rockland. Governor Paul LePage declared August to be “Maine Lobster Month” and urged residents to turn out for the festival, which began Wednesday. He is also sending lobsters to all 49 other governors to help encourage people to eat more lobster. Each year, the festival draws about 100,000 visitors, who eat more than 20,000 pounds of lobster.
