Divers still searching lake for gun in Aaron Hernandez case

For a second week, members of the Connecticut State Police dive team today are searching a Bristol, Conn. lake for the gun used in the execution-style murder of a Dorchester man that former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is charged with committing, according to a law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation.

Last week, investigators spent five days scouring the algae-ridden Pine Lake, which sits next to a busy road in Hernandez’s hometown. The weeklong search came up empty, the Globe reported.
