Officer dies in motorcycle wreck

Providence police officer John Reposa was killed in a motorcycle accident while off duty Saturday night in Jamestown, R.I. Jamestown Police and Fire responded to a report of an accident involving one car and one motorcycle at the intersection of North Road and Westwind Drive, according to police. Reposa, the operator of the motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported. Marijke Landon, 44 of North Carolina, was the sole occupant of the car. The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Jamestown Police Department and Rhode Island State Police. No charged have been filed.
