NTSB investigates small plane accident in Westport

A single-engine plane ran off the end of a runway in Westport Sunday morning, the Federal Aviation Administration said. At about 6:46 a.m., a small Kodiak plane with five people on board crashed near the runway of a privately owned airstrip. No injuries were reported. The aircraft sustained substantial damage, the FAA said. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash, the FAA said. No other details were immediately available.
