A deli owner who has had to endure abortion protests targeting a nearby Planned Parenthood clinic has closed his restaurant. Mike Fink, owner of Mike’s Restaurant, blamed the protesters for driving off diners, as well as making it virtually impossible to sell the business. He told the Portland Press Herald that he had potential buyers, but ‘‘nobody wanted to open a restaurant where people hold signs of dead babies out front.’’ Between 10 and 20 antiabortion protesters with large signs of aborted fetuses have gathered in front of Planned Parenthood for weekly demonstrations for more than a year. The city is considering a buffer zone between protesters and Planned Parenthood.
