A carousel long in the making was unveiled Tuesday on the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway.
The new carousel on the Greenway was inspired by the imaginations and drawings of Boston children.
Sculptor Jeff Briggs of Newburyport created 14 different creatures native to Massachusetts.
The new carousel, which is located across from Christopher Columbus Park and Faneuil Hall Marketplace, is set to open on August 31.
Briggs checked out his favorite sculpture.
