On Tuesday night, Remy allegedly pushed Martel into a mirror in their home, and was arrested on assault and battery with a dangerous weapon charge. He was released on personal recognizance.

According to the docket at Waltham District Court, Martel obtained an emergency restraining order against Remy at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, which remained in effect until Wednesday when the courthouse opened. But she did not appear in the restraining order session of the court held on Wednesday, and the restraining order expired on Wednesday.

Remy has a history of violence. In 2006, he was ordered to serve one year at the Middlesex House of Correction in a domestic assault case, a sentence that was suspended.
