Freed amid scandal, they soon found trouble again

Thousands of drug case convictions were abruptly open to challenge after state chemist Annie Dookhan was accused of misconduct. Many released have committed new crimes, but not the tidal wave feared.

At least 79 of the 613 freed from jail or court supervision since the Dookhan scandal began were re-arrested shortly after. These are some of the most relevant cases.
