Man tries to lure girl into car, police say

Police are investigating a report of a man trying to lure a 9-year-old girl into his car over the weekend. At around 6 p.m. on Sunday, the child was walking alone on Buckboard Road when the man approached in a car, said Duxbury Police Officer Jim Tougas. The man told the girl he had something for her in his car. The girl started running but the man continued to follow her. She then began yelling and the man drove off, Tougas said. The vehicle was described as a small, black sedan. The suspect was described as in late 20s or early 30s, medium build, and with medium length brown hair.
