Police arrested a Dorchester man on charges he stabbed another man on Dix Street in Dorchester on Friday night. Officers responding to a 911 call reporting two people stabbed found a man sitting on the sidewalk near 68 Dix St. with “multiple stab wounds to the body,” said Officer Nicole Grant, a Boston police spokeswoman. Witnesses told police that Hung Tran, 45, of Dorchester attacked the man, Grant said. Police found Tran inside the house, also suffering from stab wounds. The man outside was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he was in critical but stable condition Saturday evening. Tran’s injuries were not life threatening and he was taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Grant said. He was later taken to District C-11 headquarters. Tran was charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon, a knife, and is scheduled to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court Monday.
