Worcester man pleads guilty in fatal shooting

A man who gunned down a member of a rival gang two years ago during a daytime brawl outside Worcester City Hall pleaded guilty Monday to voluntary manslaughter. Nathaniel Robinson, 21, was sentenced to 10 to 11 years in prison. He initially had faced a murder charge in the November 2011 shooting death of Javier Santiago, but pleaded guilty to the lesser charge, as well as weapons and ammunition counts. What started as a fight between two men quickly escalated as fellow gang members arrived at the scene, the Worcester Telegram & Gazette reported.
