An adult and a 3-year-old child were hospitalized after they were struck by a car on Blue Hill Avenue in Roxbury Wednesday evening, Boston police said. A 20-year-old person was carrying the child across the street at Quincy Street when they were both hit by a Pontiac Grand Am driving south on Blue Hill Avenue shortly after 8 p.m., Officer Nicole Grant said. The victims, who were not in a crosswalk, were taken to Boston Medical Center with injuries not believed to be life-threatening, Grant said. The driver, a 48-year-old man, was also taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Grant said.
