Man dies of gunshot wounds in Roslindale

A man was shot to death late Saturday night in Roslindale, marking the 36th homicide of the year in Boston, a police spokeswoman said.

Officers responded to 80 Archdale Road around 11:48 p.m. and found a man suffering from gunshot wounds, Officer Nicole Grant said. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The shooting brought to an end a violent day in Boston. Eight people were shot Saturday in four separate incidents, although only the Archdale Road attack was fatal.

Police have not released the victim’s name and no further information was immediately available.
