Walczak wants to expand reach of nonprofits, charities

Mayoral candidate Bill Walczak has released his blueprint for bolstering charitable organizations and nonprofits in the city, a move he said would expand their reach to people who need the services they provide the most.

The candidate issued his nonprofit plan this afternoon, one day before voters take to the polls to pick two of 12 candidates to compete for mayor. Walczak also hired a plane today to fly around the city with a banner declaring his strong opposition to a casino in Boston.
