Police seek man who stabbed seat on bus

Police are looking for a man who stabbed a bus seat with scissors, officials said. The man was on a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority bus at the intersection of Washington Street and West Roxbury Parkway in Roslindale around 6:44 p.m. Monday when the incident occurred. A customer reported that the man was stabbing the bus seat with scissors and then put the scissors near his own head, said MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo. The bus driver pulled over and called police, Pesaturo said. The man, who was wearing black jeans and a black hoodie, and was described as being in his mid-20s, got off the bus.
