N.H. rock climber helps man in capsized boat

A New Hampshire man is grateful to be alive after his boat capsized in Barrington and he became tangled in his fishing gear. Steven Travis of Nottingham, 68, was out on Stone House Pond on Thursday when his float tube started taking on water. ‘‘From where I was fishing, maybe a good third of the way out in the middle, and it just went boom, just like that, and I was in the water down,’’ Travis told WMUR-TV. Travis said he quickly became exhausted. Kellie Barr Foster, who was rock climbing nearby, heard Travis yelling for help and jumped into the water and was able to pull him to shore.
