Wild winds, buckets of rain to hit Mass.

The National Weather Service is warning that a fast-moving line of showers and thunderstorms today could produce damaging winds — and even a tornado here and there.

With the leaves still on the trees and the wind blowing up to 45 miles per hour, the potential for tree damage — and power line outages — is even greater, the forecasters said, as the storms roll through the state from west to east from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
