Horse rescued from ditch near Carver cranberry bog

The Plymouth County Technical Rescue Team was called to aid a horse that had fallen into a drainage ditch on the perimeter of a cranberry bog off Center Street in Carver on Saturday afternoon.

The Carver Fire Department was called to the scene at first, but then brought in the rescue team.

After a 30-minute struggle, with pulleys and a hoist, the horse, Romey, was freed , apparently uninjured.
