Freetown woman charged with abusing her 7-month-old baby

A Freetown woman has been charged with abusing her 7-month-old baby, causing injuries to the boy’s face and body, police said. The woman, Meaghan Vogel, 33, is accused of injuring the child early Saturday afternoon. A not-guilty plea was entered on her behalf at her arraignment in Fall River District Court Monday to charges of child endangerment, assault and battery on a child, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (her teeth), said Gregg Miliote, a spokesman for the Bristol district attorney’s office. Bail was set at $5,000, but was revoked on an open domestic assault case, so she can be held for 60 days, Miliote said.
