SUV driver killed in crash with truck on I-93 in Andover

The driver of a sport utility vehicle was killed when his car crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer truck early Monday morning on Interstate 93 South in Andover, State Police said. Troopers responded at about 1:25 a.m. to the crash on a section of the highway south of Interstate 495. A 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe, operated by Louis Kardoose, 37, of Saugus, rear-ended a 1997 Freightliner truck, State Police said. Kardoose was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was not injured in the crash, which is under investigation.
