Troopers rescue cat from Massachusetts Turnpike median

A lucky cat still has all nine of his lives this morning, thanks to State Police.

Trooper Robert Monahan and Trooper Joseph Hilton responded just after 7 a.m. to numerous calls reporting a cat in the median on the Massachusetts Turnpike, near where it enters Boston, State Police said in a Facebook posting.

The callers said appeared either sick or frightened.

The troopers were able to capture the animal. They turned it over to Boston animal control officers.
