Major fire strikes boarding school for boys

A major fire raged at a North Brookfield boarding school Friday night, prompting several area fire units to respond, said State Fire Marshal Stephen D. Coan. Coan said there were no reports of any injuries, and students at the Valley View School were all accounted for. Valley View is a small private school for boys ages 11 to 16, who, according to the school’s website, “are having difficulty coping with their family, the world around them, and themselves.” No additional information was available late Friday night.
