Mourners arrived at a funeral for Danvers math teacher Colleen Ritzer on Monday.
Ritzer was allegedly murdered by one of her students last week.
Pallbearers carried Ritzer's casket up the stairs of St. Augustine Church in Andover.
As church bells tolled, the casket was carried up the steep stone steps into the church.
The services were held one day after the church, which her family has been associated with for years, was used for her wake on Sunday.
An estimated 1,000 mourners were in attendance, including 400 students from the Danvers school, officials said.
