State-run ice skating rinks to open Nov. 27

Dozens of state-managed ice skating rinks throughout Massachusetts, including 10 Boston facilities, will start public hours Nov. 27, the state Department of Recreation and Conservation said. Many of the rinks feature skate rentals and concessions, according to recreation officials. A full list of facilities with public skate hours can be found on the department’s website at under “Recreational Activities.” Officials said residents should call their local rink for hours and availability.
