The street that once housed the Cocoanut Grove club was renamed in memory of the deadly 1942 fire.
Shawmut Street Extension became Cocoanut Grove Lane in memory of the 492 people who were killed in the blaze.
Survivor Ann Marie Gallagher, 87, made her first return to the site since that frigid night.
Marshall S. Cole, another survivor, described the scene of the fire to the crowd.
Mayor-elect Martin J. Walsh spoke with Gallagher. Walsh helped unveil the new street sign.
