Man allegedly steals car, goes on hit-and-run spree

Police arrested a Dorchester man Saturday night after he allegedly stole a car and drove through Mattapan on a hit-and-run spree that included striking a Boston ambulance, according to Boston Police. At 5:44 p.m., officers responded to a report of an accident near Lucerne Street and Winston Road. At the scene, a man told police that he and Terah Mcintyre, 31, had been drinking together before Mcintyre took his keys and drove off in his car, hitting a vehicle on his way, according to police. Officers found Mcintyre at his home and arrested him on charges that included operating a motor vehicle under the influence. Mcintyre allegedly struck two other vehicles before he was arrested — an ambulance near 42 Howard St. and a Chevrolet TrailBlazer parked on Winston Road. No injuries were reported. Mcintyre was scheduled to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on Monday.
