Police identify city’s second homicide victim of the year

Boston police have identified the victim of the city’s second homicide this year as an 18-year-old man who lives in the city, police said.

Brandon John of Boston was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at 136 Rowe St. in Roslindale shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday night, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. No arrests have been made in the case.

The Boston police homicide unit is probing the death. Police asked anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the homicide unit at 617-343-4470.

The city’s first homicide of the year came just hours earlier the same day. In that case, William Earl of Mattapan, 20, has been charged with murder in the slaying of Samuel Constant, 19, outside a Hyde Park home.
