Mail: Post offices closed; express delivery only

MBTA: Subways, and buses on Saturday schedule. Commuter rail on regular weekday schedule. Hingham and Charlestown commuter boats on regular weekday schedule. The Ride on a Saturday schedule. For more information, call 617-222-3200.

Boston traffic rules: Meters in effect. All other parking rules apply.

Trash/recycling collection: The following neighborhoods will have trash or recycling pickup delayed a day: Allston/Brighton, Dorchester, East Boston, Jamaica Plain, Mattapan, Roslindale, West Roxbury and Hyde Park. No delays in Back Bay, Bay Village, Beacon Hill, Charlestown, Chinatown, Fenway, Leather District, Mission Hill, North End, Roxbury, South Boston, and the South End. Jamaica Plain residents whose trash is collected twice a week also will not be affected. One day late for the remainder of the week, except in downtown Boston, Roxbury, and Charlestown.
