North Reading assault suspect captured in Nashua, N.H.

A North Reading man wanted in connection with a violent assault in that town on Friday was arrested Saturday by police in Nashua, N.H.

Kevin Palmer, 42, of North Reading had an outstanding warrant for his arrest on a charge of attempted murder following the alleged attack Friday night, officials said.


North Reading police responded to a person being assaulted at a Memory Lane address, but the suspect had fled before officers arrived, police said.

Palmer was allegedly identified as the person involved. Massachusetts officers were searching for him when he was spotted in Nashua, police said.

Palmer was arrested at about 4:15 p.m. Saturday, police said, without incident.

Palmer is due in Nashua District Court today as a fugitive from justice and to determine under what circumstances, and when, he will be returning to Massachusetts, police said.
