A teenager died in a skiing accident Saturday morning in Warren, Vt., after she lost control and hit a trail sign at Sugarbush ski resort, according to Vermont State Police. The 19-year-old, who has not yet been publicly identified, was skiing with family and friends around 11 a.m. when she lost control at a trail intersection on Mount Ellen, police said in a statement. The mountain’s ski patrol and emergency personnel rushed to the area and provided medical assistance until the victim was brought to Central Vermont Hospital in Berlin, police said. She was pronounced dead at the hospital. A representative at Sugarbush Ski Resort declined to comment. No further information was immediately available.
