Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident near Fields Corner in Dorchester that resulted in serious injuries Tuesday night, authorities said. At 8:05 p.m., police received a call of a pedestrian struck by a car in the area of 1485 Dorchester Ave., said Boston police spokesman David Estrada. The victim, an adult male, was taken to Boston Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, police said. The car left the scene, and reports suggest that it may have been a four-door Toyota Camry, said Estrada.
