Girl, 11, struck by car in Dorchester

An 11-year-old girl suffered injuries after she was hit by a car in Dorchester Sunday afternoon, Boston police said.

The girl was walking on Hancock Street at about 3:30 p.m. when she was struck by the car. Police described her injuries as non-life-threatening.

Information about the car’s operator will not be released at this time, according to Boston police Officer Rachel McGuire.
