38-year-old man shot in Jamaica Plain

A 38-year-old man was shot on Hyde Park Avenue in Jamaica Plain early this morning and rushed to Brigham and Women’s Hospital, police said.

He is expected to survive after suffering a single gunshot wound to the chest, said Boston police spokesman Michael McCarthy. No arrests have been made.

The incident occurred at about 1 a.m. near the Hunter Street intersection.
