Tufts University dean named new president of Trinity in Hartford

Joanne Berger-Sweeney, dean of arts and sciences at Tufts University, has been named president of Trinity College.

Berger-Sweeney will be the first African-American and first woman to lead the Hartford college. She will succeed James F. Jones Jr., who retired after 10 years in the post.
