Officers saw him evade his fare and approached him to issue a citation, Transit Police said.

Bennett gave officers a false name and ran out of the station. Another Transit Police officer was nearby and stopped Bennett, Transit Police said.

When officers discovered Bennett’s true identity, they found there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest issued out of Lynn District Court for kidnapping, assault with a dangerous weapon, and attempt to commit a crime, Transit Police said.

He is to be arraigned today in Lynn District Court, Transit Police said.
