Medford officials on Friday announced plans to build a memorial garden to honor Medford native Krystle Campbell as well as the others killed and wounded in the Marathon bombings.
Campbell was one of three people killed in last year's attacks.
Her father, Bill Campbell, was at the press conference where officials announced details of the $1 million project.
The garden will be built on this parcel of land in front of the Medford Senior Center.
Members of the Medford High School softball team wore T-shirts honoring Campbell. After the bombings, the team started a scholarship fund at the school in her name.
