The commuter rail’s Fitchburg Line is experiencing delays this afternoon, after a tree fell onto the tracks, MBTA officials said.
The tree fell on the tracks at the MBTA’s Porter Square station about 11:35 a.m., blocking both the inbound and outbound trains. Passengers are being bused from North Station to Porter Square station until the tracks are cleared, said MBTA spokeswoman Kelly Smith.
No injuries were reported. At 2 p.m. today, crews were working to clear the tracks, she said.
Red Line trains are running normally, said Smith.
