Lynn teenager faces murder charge

A Lynn teenager is facing a murder charge after he allegedly shot and killed a person inside a home on Washington Street early today, officials said. abt

The victim, 18-year-old Amoy Blake of Lynn, was transported to Union Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to a statement from the Essex County district attorney’s office.

A 17-year-old boy, who has not been identified because he is a minor, was arrested by Lynn police. He is to be arraigned on a murder charge in Lynn District Court Thursday, the statement said.

Police responded to the shooting at the home on Washington Street near Hamilton Avenue. at 12:30 a.m. today. Upon arrival, officers discovered Blake suffering from a gunshot wound.

Lynn and State Police are investigation the death.
