Boston police responded to Trinity Church this afternoon after officials found a “suspicious backpack” on the church’s back porch. But it turned out to be a false alarm, a spokeswoman said.
Patricia Hurley said employees found the bag about 2:10 p.m. Police responded to the Clarendon Street Episcopal church shortly afterwards, a dispatcher said.
“It turned out to be nothing,” said Hurley. “Police looked at it and then took the bag with them.”Jacqueline Tempera can be reached at email@example.com. Follow her on twitter @jacktemp
