Shots fired early morning in Roxbury

Shots were fired early this morning in Roxbury, and one person suffered a laceration, according to Boston Police Officer James Kenneally.

A call came in at 12:54 a.m. for shots fired in the area of 122 Ward St., and when police arrived, they found three people who said they were traveling in a car when someone fired at them. One person had a laceration to his head, but he had not been shot, said Kenneally. He was treated at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Earlier today, police had said that two people were shot, but Kenneally said those reports were “proven otherwise.”

Police this morning also said the address of the shooting was 7 Cornelia Court, which is about two blocks away from 122 Ward St.

No arrests have been made.
