Norton man pleads not guilty in fatal crash

A Norton man has pleaded not guilty after police said he was drunk when he sped through a red light and caused a fatal accident in Mansfield last weekend. Authorities said Nicholas Salvo, 23, caused the accident just before midnight Friday that took the life of David Munise, 63, of Raynham. Prosecutors said in court Monday that Salvo was still above the legal limit to drive when he was tested at a hospital six hours after the crash. Salvo remains free on $10,000 bail after pleading not guilty to charges including motor vehicle homicide while driving drunk.
