Governor Patrick to speak at BU’s commencement

Governor Patrick, a Harvard Law School graduate, will receive an honorary law degree from BU.

Governor Deval Patrick will be the commencement speaker at Boston University’s graduation on May 18, the college announced today.

BU President Robert Brown made the announcement during the Class of 2014 Senior Breakfast.

Patrick, a Harvard Law School graduate, will receive an honorary law degree. Other honorary degree recipients will be actor Bill Cosby, BU trustee Rajen Kilachand, City Year co-founder Michael Brown, actress and writer Mayim Hoya Bialik, and MIT molecular biologist Nancy Hopkins.

Patrick will also speak at the University of Massachusetts Amherst commencement May 9.
